Homer Glen Foundation Dedicates Monument to Veterans

Mike Hike Sponsors and Volunteers join the Homer Glen Foundation and Purple Heart Veterans in dedicating the Veterans Monument located at the Michael C. Olivieri Memorial Garden.

Homer Glen Foundation provided the Village of Homer Glen with $3,000 check for Olivieri Trail Connection on Homer Glen Heroes Trail.

Homer Glen Foundation receives Community & Nature Award
The Foundation was selected as a recipient of the 2012 Homer Glen Community & Nature Award for our efforts with the Mike Hike and support of the Homer Glen Heroes Trail. We wish to thank all the sponsors, participants, and volunteers who made the 2011 Mike Hike a success and led to our recognition with this award. Established in 2004 by local residents, the Homer Glen Foundation is a not-for-profit community organization with a purpose of ensuring that  people of all ages and abilities have access to recreational  amenities and the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors.

The vision of the Homer Glen Foundation is creating a community where children can play at neighborhood parks, students can ride their bikes to school, and the daily commute  provides scenic vistas. The Homer Glen Foundation strives to Connect Our Community through parks, trails, and open spaces so residents can experience healthy, happy lives.
